Don’t forget – this week is the third San Antonio Horrific Film Fest!
We’re working through the clock to bring you five chill-packed days of horrific entertainment. With movies, zombies, gothic beauties, and all kinds of blood-curdling craziness!
The festivities commence this Wednesday, August 25th at 6pm; at the La Quinta Convention Center in Downtown San Antonio.
Check out the official website for more details. We’ll also be live-blogging from the event on Twitter using the hashtag #horrificfilmfest, and uploading plenty of photos to Flickr.
Hope to see you there!
The Darkness have been rather busy over the past few weeks, in preparation for the San Antonio Horrific Film Fest. Nevertheless, we’ve also been beavering away through the night as we work on one of the largest projects we’ve been offered: Creating not one, but two 12 foot tall statues of Lady Justice.
Although very much a work in progress; the slideshow below shows how the project starts off small, as a hand-sculpted maquette. Clay is then piled onto a reinforced platform and armature before the big sculpt commences.
The slideshow will be updated as we cast molds of the sculpt in silicone over the next few nights. These molds will then be used to make lightweight fiberglass shells of the original sculpt.
Stay tuned for more updates to the website, as well as a couple of long-awaited video blogs!
